Batteries - A Reliable Gift of Science & Technology

There is not a single individual today who can claim to not have used a battery in his lifetime. With the growth of science and technology at its zenith, batteries are giving better performance by dint of the latest features incorporated in them. The average lifespan of battery have increased resulting in increased reliability of the amenity. With an intention to provide you with a meaningful brief on different types of batteries used today, we have come up with a compilation of the same:

Flat Plate Batteries:

You must care to inspect your battery terminal connections every now and then and ensure that they are clean, and protected from the harmful elements or factors leading to battery failure.

Two Wheeler Batteries:

For an ultimate and relaxed ride on a two wheeler, it is very important that you rely on a branded battery. As a human body needs the heart to pump blood continuously through it, a two wheeler battery is required to be in perfect health to save you from unwanted hassles. These batteries require regular watering to replenish the water lost during the electrolysis cycle. Secondly, they should be timely charged and cleaned free of corrosion and should be put in a dry environment for increased longevity.

Golf Cart Batteries:

The number one problem that you may face as a golf cart owner is frequent decrement of the water level inside the battery. As you charge your battery it will begin to boil out water in the form of hydrogen gas as part of the reversing the sulfide process. The lost amount of water need to be replaced on a regular basis with distilled water or else you may have to face a fatal golf cart battery problems. In addition to this, keeping the battery terminals clean will allow efficient flow of current from your golf cart batteries to your golf cart motors.

Traction Batteries:

After every recharge, do care to check the water level in every cell as charging will cause the water to evaporate. Also, don’t forget to check the connectors after every recharge and tighten them properly. If you are not using your traction battery for long, charge it fully and store it properly after disconnecting from the charger.

Inverter Battery:

Inverter batteries require minimum maintenance most of which is done by professionals. You just need to decide on the appropriate time to get it done.

UPS battery:

Service and maintenance of UPS batteries are critical to the reliability of the UPS. Periodic preventive maintenance help extend battery life, prevent loose connections and remove corrosion, it also help identify ailing batteries before they fail.
